Asmara Children's Center Schweiz is a nonprofit association based in Bern that supports the Asmara Children’s Center in Arusha. The school offers children in difficult life situations education, protection, and opportunities. Our commitment is personal, voluntary, and driven by the belief that small actions can create great impact.
The school
The Asmara Children’s Center (ACC) in Arusha, Tanzania, was founded as a local initiative and provides disadvantaged children with education, care, and opportunities – from primary school through to further education – supported by targeted sponsorship programs.

Short-Term Goals
We support the school in providing children with meals, maintaining daily operations, ensuring fair wages, and implementing necessary structural protections.
Mid-Term Goals
With additional funds, sustainable investments such as expanding storm protection, improving self-sufficiency through poultry farming and gardening, restarting the women’s group, and installing a solar system can be realized.
Long-Term Goals
Our goal is to create long-term perspectives together that lead step by step to greater independence and sustainability.
